Simone (DirtBody) Williams is a West Philadelphia based visual artist, educator, and creative facilitator whose work centers on capturing personal moments with self and ancestral connections, experienced in a black woman's body. She uses reflections and layers to emulate the exploration of self-love and appreciation. Simone's purpose is to inspire people of all ages to connect with their own creativity and physical being to foster inner peace and a strong sense of self love.

My work is a personal exploration of myself, using my body as the subject and setting. My images are moments that characterize the progression of self-love. My process involves manipulating the frames and transparencies in my images and materials to suggest intimate connections.
